There are two choices for the style of the portfolio you can end up with. You can do a traditional printing portfolio, where you print your prints at a lab, and put them into a portfolio case of your choice, or there's an option to use Blurb to make a portfolio book. There's a little bit more of a time limit when using Blurb, because you need to submit the book a little earlier to account for shipping time, to make sure its here by June 8'th. I personally like the idea of making a blurb book, I like how they'r much smaller and compact than most of the traditional portfolios. The down side is that ones you print it, you cant change the content of it, and will need to order another book if you want to update it.
If you think your final portfolio, is the only thing you get to worry about from then on, you'r mistaken. Along with that, you get other basic assignments, and that also the time for all of the major assignments for each class.
To sum it up we have, an Analogue Major assignment, where you need to create a book of at least ten images of your choice on your chosen theme. There's a major group gallery show, along with a presentation of your photographic hero for Creative Imaging class. There's the final video assignment, where you need to make a five minute video using all the techniques we learned throughout the school year. And of course there's a major Digital techniques assignment, where we need to create our 6 page year book section, using whatever images we'd like that we took throughout the year. Pretty sure I'm missing some, but you get the idea of how much work we have to do.
Now that I mentioned it all I'm a little freaked out, and feeling like I'm out of time. I think 90 percent of us are feeling that way right now, as we only have about twenty days left! Anyways here are a few photos I've been working on since then.
