Yellow Brick Road

This year I knew from the beginning how fast it was going to go by, but first things first. On day 1, I expressed to the class how much I was going to miss them once the program finished and had gone by faster then we'd all expect (except me). I expressed how much I'll miss them and shared my goodbyes before theirs would even cross their mind.

We're now coming to the end of our yellow brick road and heading back home as soon as we click our shutter 3 times. There's no place like show biz, there's no place like show biz, there is no place like show biz.

Entering the course, maybe I'm hard of hearing, but I didn't know Analogue Technique dealt with working in a "dark room" (which FYI is really working in a red light room). I loved it!

I felt like a champ in there. I got the technique, but that doesn't mean I understood the lingo. But that's not the point, I felt I was good at it and only got better.

Time flew in there (literally). Great thanks to Tristan and his plaid shirts and slicked hair, I got the hang of things! First came experimentation, then came planned, thought-out technique and skill.

In the Creative Imaging class I was given a chance, not a choice, to shoot out of my comfort zone.  I had to shoot shapes, angles, leading lines, and forced perspectives without shooting portraits, which was my thing, my comfort zone. I also had to think outside the box to broaden my horizon. It opened up many doors, ideas, and lead to my Angry Potato assignment becoming a hooker potato (insider).

This year for me would not be complete or sufficient if it wasn't for "The girl Who Knows All". Every class, every group we somehow ended up together. (Thank the gaylord!). Whenever I had any or all questions, with no understanding, she was there. I'd either lean to my left, send a text or send an email, she was there for me with the right answers every time. She is so smart, I'm extremely grateful for Chantyl. She is as beautiful and bright of a girl on the inside as she is on the outside. Thank you Chantyl for making this possible...? lol Mwah!

Chantyl Desrochers!
