I set a lot of my own field trips which usually involves me taking photographs of my friends or family. I love portraits and that is mostly what I am interested in. I love capturing their facial expressions...goofy, happy, sad...whichever (Although I prefer them happy!). I also love to take landscape photographs. I like the look of a calm day on the lake or lush, green trees, or bright flowers.

The field trips we do are very fun. I love using my different lenses for different field trips. My macro lens (90mm), I used on the Christmas field trip to the Hydro Building for the "Festival of Trees". I use my normal lens (50 mm) for portraits, I use my telephoto (70-200 mm) for landscapes and I use my 17-85mm for landscapes and other wide angle projects.

One of my favorite field trips, by far, is the Aviation Museum! We took film and digital images. It was great because I love airplanes (I got that from my dad) because they just look so modern, no matter how old they are. I also think that their designs are really neat to photograph. Like the gears, shapes, etc. I use my macro a lot for stuff like that.

Anyways thank you for taking the time to read my blog post! If you are thinking about applying, I wouldn't even give it a second thought, I would just jump in if photography is what you are looking to do for your career. They give you lots of insight on how to start your business, etc. And the field trips are amazing and extremely educational, not to mention fun! You will meet amazing new friends and you will enjoy every moment of this experience! :)
